Sandwich Seminar: Teaching in the Archives

Many students have been to a library by the time they step foot on campus, but few have been to an archive. Yet for many faculty, postdocs, and doctoral students across many disciplines, visiting an archive for research is standard practice. Assistant Professor Abigail Drage and Archivist Dr. Brian Jirout teamed up in Spring 2024 to bridge that gap for graduate students in the English MA program to provide a blueprint for how faculty can utilize the SUNY Cortland Archives for teaching research methods as well as career exploration to undergraduates and graduates.
