This presentation is part of the Writing Intensive Course Development (WICD): Extended Conversations series. 


Laura Davies and Kati Ahern will present current research from the field of Writing Studies on best practices for giving students feedback on their writing that is meaningful and intentional. This will include broader theories of writing feedback as well as immediate, practical strategies for use in both Writing Intensive courses and any courses involving student writing. Their presentation will also include discussion of alternative modalities of feedback (like video notes or audio notes) within the Brightspace LMS.
