The United States is experiencing heightened political polarization, with public discourse increasingly defined by division and conflict. In this climate, classrooms have become critical spaces where educators must intentionally and skillfully navigate difficult conversations to foster critical thinking, mutual respect and inclusive learning environments. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution, Bodi Regan, J.D., will lead this timely session on navigating the classroom during tumultuous times. Open to all SUNY Cortland faculty. Pastries and drinks served.
