It is common in parliamentary democracies for governing party leaders to draft governing coalition agreements (GCAs) after the election, to set their agenda for the coming term. But do GCAs help maintain unity among governing parties in parliament? The results presented here addressed this question focusing on the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government in the British House of Commons (2010-15).
