Sandwich Seminar: “Immigration Policies in the Age of Trump” by Ute Ritz-Deutch, History Department, Brockway Hall Jacobus Lounge, Noon to 1 p.m.

This presentation will highlight some of the administration’s approaches to refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and immigrants. There will be a review of several executive orders, the concept of sanctuary cities, the Refugee Resettlement Agency and the rescinding of the DACA program (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Lastly, we will reflect on community responses to these policies, for example the rapid response network of the Tompkins County Immigrant Rights Coalition.
