“Reflections on International Human Rights Day” will be presented by Ute Ritz-Deutch, History Department, Brockway Hall Jacobus Lounge, noon-1 p.m.

10th is International Human Rights Day. It has been celebrated since 1948, when
the United Nations
adopted the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In this talk Ritz-Deutch will review the 30
articles of the UDHR and the importance
of human rights education today. Also, she will take a look at the various events
and actions taking place around the world as part of International
Human Rights week.
